Are polynucleotides better than Botox?

Polynucleotides and Botox work in completely different ways, so one is not necessarily “better” than the other. Polynucleotides focus on improving skin quality from within—boosting collagen, hydration and regeneration. Botox reduces expression lines by relaxing the underlying muscles that create wrinkles when you frown, smile or squint.

How they differ

  • Polynucleotides: Regenerate the skin, stimulate collagen and elastin, improve hydration and help repair texture and under-eye quality.
  • Botox: Temporarily relaxes muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles such as forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet.

Which one is better?

It depends on your goals. Polynucleotides are better for improving overall skin health, firmness, hydration and under-eye quality. Botox is better for smoothing strong expression lines caused by muscle movement.

Can they be combined?

Yes. Many clients choose both treatments because they target completely different concerns. Botox relaxes the wrinkle-forming muscles, while polynucleotides regenerate the skin and improve its structure. A common approach is:

  • Have Botox first.
  • Wait 1–2 weeks for any swelling to settle.
  • Add polynucleotides to boost hydration, repair and fine-line improvement.
