PRP Aftercare for Hair
PRP for hair is a low-downtime treatment, and most people return to normal activity straight away. Following simple aftercare steps helps keep the scalp comfortable and supports a smooth recovery.
First 24–48 hours
Keep things gentle while the scalp settles. Avoid heavy sweating, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and strong styling products. Mild tenderness is normal and settles quickly.
Washing your hair
Most people can wash their hair the next day with a gentle shampoo and lukewarm water. Avoid vigorous scrubbing for 24–48 hours and keep blow-drying cool.
Exercise and daily activity
Light walking is fine. Leave high-intensity workouts until after the 24–48 hour mark, as heat and sweat can irritate the scalp.
Colouring or bleaching hair
Wait 48–72 hours before any colouring or chemical treatments. If the scalp feels tender, postpone a little longer.
Products and heat
Use mild products for the first few days. Avoid strong astringents, harsh sprays, tight hairstyles and high-heat tools until the scalp feels normal.
